Black & White and very elegant, Bee was the puppy I kept from Bracken's 1st litter. She won Minor Puppy Bitch at Bournemouth under Angela Gillespie, qualifying for Puppy Of The Year and Crufts, along with two of her litter brothers, Foxbarton Flash Harry and Foxbarton Nice But Tim. Placed at numerous Championship Shows, she won Best Puppy in Show at Dene Place and she has the Gold Kennel Club Good Citizen Award.
Bee excels at Agility, and was handled successfully by Fran Walton in 2003 while I was hobbling on a bad foot! After more than a year out of the Breed Ring, she qualified for Crufts 2005 under John Gascoigne, just 3 weeks before her first litter was born, among whom was Phoebe, Foxbarton Something Blue.
Bee has an outstanding temperament, loves a cuddle and is always smiling! She simply adored bringing up her puppies, and has had beautiful litters by Brooksbid High Society, Mobella Out To Impress, Mobella Tucker's Luck and finally Littlethorn Jenson of Terverley. Now Bee enjoys teaching her grandchildren their manners!
In 2009, I decided to show Bee again, now she's a veteran. First show was East Anglian BC Club Championship Show and she won the Veteran Bitch class, qualifying her for Crufts 2010, where she was placed (VHC), under Bob Henry. In June 2010, she won the Veteran Bitch Class at Bath Championship Show, and so she's qualified for Crufts 2011. Clever girl! Judge Marion Hodgson wrote in her critique, "Veteran Bitch (9) 1st Tiller's Foxbarton Could Be, still a force to be reckoned with, moved so well, neat feet, strong outline and topline. Bit less length to height. Super coat, body and muscle, so alert. Lively, dark eyes, well used ears".
Bee's also a member of Team Foxbarton, when we get the chance to enter the Breeders Competition at Champ Shows. See photo (left) taken at Southern Counties 2010, with judge Rainer Vuorinen (Finland,) who gave us 2nd behind the Crufts winning Tonkory Team. Bee is handled for me by the one time World Junior Handling Champion, my good friend, Marina Scott. Thank you Marina, you're a star!
In April 2013, I lost sweet Bee to Liver Cancer, suddenly at 12.5 years. She went downhill very, very quickly, and we let her go before she was in pain. Always such a happy dog and such a lady. So elegant, lying with her paws crossed, smiling.
